Dynamo Youth Water Polo

Dynamo Youth Water Polo - 2019

Dynamo Youth Water Polo is where High School and Middle School aged girls and boys from across Georgia develop and improve their technical skills and understanding of the game through USA Water Polo instruction and competition.  Dynamo Youth Water Polo, the only active USAWP youth club in Georgia, is a program of Dynamo Water Polo Club, one of the largest and most successful USA Water Polo clubs in the Southeastern United States.
In 2018, DWPC Youth had 83 players from 8 different GHSWPA teams.  In the spring, we sent a record 17 players to the ODP National Championships. Both the Girls and Boys had great June trips to Orlando for the Zone Championships and four DWPCY teams (Boys 18U, Boys 16U, Girls 18U, Girls 16U) went to California for the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics national championships.
The 2019 season runs from mid-February through June (through July for those who qualify for Junior Olympics).
Players must complete 100 yards freestyle without stopping and in less than 1:30 (boys) and 1:40 (girls), with technique that meets the coaches’ satisfaction.  Space is limited.  Coaches have the right to make cuts/selections as they see fit.
GHSWPA players do NOT have to choose between spring activity with their GHSWPA team and DWPC Youth; we encourage them to do both.
